First released in 2008, the Hard-Edge Marble lighter is finished by hand using a layered spray technique that creates a distinctive amber or emerald marbled effect. Because each lighter is painted individually, no two patterns are exactly alike.

Refillable, gift-ready, and handmade in Japan, it's designed to be carried, repaired, and enjoyed for years to come.

This finish traces its roots to Japanese lighter craftsmanship of the 1960s through 80s, when lacquered metal lighters were designed to resemble tortoiseshell and other decorative materials. Tsubota Pearl later adapted the process for transparent resin bodies, preserving a traditional technique while giving it a distinctly modern form. More than two decades after its introduction, the Marble lighter remains one of the company's most recognizable designs.
